Life on Attu, Aleutian Islands, 328th Station Hospital
- "This is a photo of medical and administrative officers in the mess hall
for the 328th Station Hospital, in about September 1943, following the
fighting on Attu, part of the Aleutian Islands. Most of the officers
stayed on Attu until their reassignment, in early 1944. I'm the
bald-headed, 27-year-old lieutenant seated on the far left. I'm now
91. If anyone should recognize an ancestor in the photo, please feel
