About Us - G. I. Memories has been on the internet since about 1995, although not always including commercial activities. We are Harry and Josie Meekins, a husband and wife team. Harry spent twenty years in the USAF and retired as a MSgt. The centerpiece of our existence is keeping costs to the customer at the very minimum - we do not attempt to make money off of shipping and handling charges and we strive for 100% satisfaction.
If you will order your merchandise by mail and - READ THIS CAREFULLY - pay for your merchandise with a UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE MONEY ORDER - you can deduct 10% from your order. This DOES NOT mean paying with a check or any other kind of money order. I don't know about you but I want to help save the USPS - they have given us superior service! Another reason is that we do not have to fool with deductions for the "privilege" of using a credit card or worry about returned checks. Remember, US Postal Money Order!
Other Ways We Are Saving YOU Money!
We refund shipping and handling charges on ALL orders addressed to APO, FPO, and to MILITARY addresses within CONUS. We will also refund shipping and handling charges on all orders over $100 that have been ordered by and addressed to veteran organizations such as the American Legion and VFW.
All orders over $10 are shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail at no extra charge with free delivery service tracking information. We do not attempt to make money off of shipping and handling charges and the only possible way we will increase S&H is if the Postal Service increases theirs.

Your Privacy - Now hear this! We are very concerned about privacy ourselves, so it only stands to reason we are concerned about your privacy also. When you make an order with us, unless there is an unforeseen glitch, you will ONLY hear from us two times - an acknowledgement when we receive the order and notification to you when the order is shipped. Very rarely we may have a back order situation which will require one more e-mail to you. That is absolutely it! We keep NO mailing list and even if we did, we would never give your address out to anybody for any reason. Once your order is shipped you won't hear from us again, that is unless you order again, which we hope you will.
Vendors - If you manufacture or market legitimate military memorabilia or items, you are welcome to send a catalog by postal mail. We will always give preference to AMERICAN-made merchandise and to businesses owned and operated by US military veterans. Shipping Information and Charges - Allow 14-21 days for delivery; longer for shipment to APO/FPO. Any backorders will be clearly marked. USPS Priority Mail shipping on all orders $10 and up at no extra charge with complimentary tracking of delivery. It is a fact of life that the United States Postal Service raises their shipping rates up to twice a year but we have been able to keep ours down by re-using packing material and using most economical means of shipment, often through USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail.

Return and Refund Policy - Shipping charges and custom-made items are NOT refundable! Regarding merchandise, we will accept returns up to 14 days after purchase, providing it is in NEW resellable condition with all packing, shipping invoice, bar code tags, intact with absolutely NO damage of any kind. SPECIAL INFORMATION REGARDING RINGS: Please be absolutely sure of the ring size you need. All ring returns are subject to a 25% re-stocking charge. You will not receive the full refund for the ring.
